Terms Of Service

The following Terms of Service including WebCodin Privacy Policy as published on our website ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the t2e website (the "Service"), and any video, sound, text, graphics, or other materials sent, received, stored or otherwise appearing in the Service (collectively referred to as "Content").

Basic description of the Service

t2e is a web-based communication Service provided by WebCodin that allows you to have video conversations with others in the web browser simply by having individual participants typing in the same URL in the web browser’s window. Typing in the same URL will make the participants connected in the same room where they can talk to each other with voice and text chat and see each other via the transmitted video window. Users do not have to install any software or plugins to use t2e. Users also do not have to register or login to use all the video and chat functionality of the Service.

Video and sound communicated in t2e are only seen by the people who are present in a room at the time the content is communicated. You should be aware that all rooms are open by default, so anyone who knows the URL can enter the room simply by typing the URL in the browser. If anyone enters a room you are present in, you’ll see a knocking window first and after accepting the call, you’ll see them appeared in the room.

Chat messages communicated in a room can be seen by all present participants of a room. You can only see chat messages if you are present in the room when the chat message is sent. If you reconnect or enter the room first time, you’ll not see previous messages sent in the room. Chat messages will be purged when all participants leave the room, no transcripts are saved on t2e servers. If the room is empty for a certain period of time, it will be deleted automatically. Should it happen, you can simply create the same room link and participate again in it. All room names will be created under the domain t2e.io. If a room name already exists, you must choose a different name.

You understand that through your use of the Service you consent to the following collection and use of this information.

Voice and video communicated in a room are not stored anywhere in our system. Chat messages are not stored in our system and are erased when all participants have left the room.

In order for you to use our Service in the first place, we need to gather only one piece of personally identifying information: your IP address so that we can connect you with other participant’s computers (we gather their IP addresses too). Although we do not track this information or keep a long-term record of it, we do log it for brief periods of time for diagnostics matters that help us improve the Service.

We collect anonymous usage data (with no personally identifying information attached) to improve the Service and WebRTC technologies in general. Examples of usage data include the aggregate number of created rooms per day and the min/max chat sessions duration ratio.

Our privacy policy is never to gather or store or sell information about you, to log your conversations, or to engage in any other behavior that would compromise your privacy and security in any way.

Some users of the Service provide generic input via our connection quality feedback form after chat sessions. This information is anonymous and includes no personally identifying information. We aggregate this feedback and use for diagnostics matters that help us improve the Service.

By attempting to contact us via the t2e contact form, you’ll fall under the WebCodin Privacy Policy statements.

In our Service, communication between participants is primarily sent through peer-to-peer connections, where audio and video streams are sent directly between participants and do not pass through any or our servers. Video and audio transmitted in the Service are then sent directly between the participants in a room and is encrypted (DTLS-SRTP) with client-generated encryption keys. In cases where a user is behind a strict firewall or NAT, video and audio need to be relayed via a TURN server, but end-to-end encryption is still maintained. Text messages are sent through our signal server, but end-to-end encryption is still maintained. We also encrypt all the set up, call control, and erase the information that your computer sends to our servers.
